About Us

Parenteau Graves is a Minneapolis-based planning and communications firm specializing in creative, effective and practical solutions for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and small businesses. We are dedicated to and known for increasing the organizational capacity of our clients.

We connect the dots between people, planning and productivity, seeking new opportunities and delivering new ideas to move organizations forward. We work collaboratively, forming strong partnerships with our clients and their constituents, knowing that the best work always comes from relationships that result in a wealth of shared ideas and information.

Since our formation in 1993, Parenteau Graves has provided strategic planning, board development services, communications and marketing planning, and website design for a broad array of clients.

 

The Team

Brigitte Parenteau
Brigitte served as associate marketing director for The Minnesota Opera and marketing director for Penumbra Theatre Company prior to forming Parenteau Graves. She has a degree in French and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, with web design training from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She has served on the board of the League of Women Voters of Minneapolis, the League of Women Voters of Minnesota Action Committee, Allina Hospice Care, and City House. She currently is pursuing a master’s degree in theology and politics at United Theological Seminary.

Kathy Graves
Prior to the formation of Parenteau Graves Communications, Kathy served as marketing and public relations director for The Minnesota Opera and Virginia Opera, on the staff of U.S. Senator Gary Hart, and as the arts writer for the Southwest Journal, for she received the Minnesota Newspaper Award for feature writing. Kathy is the co-author and editor of Indians in Minnesota, published by the University of Minnesota Press. She also teaches news and magazine writing at Metro State University. She has a degree in political science and English from Colorado College, was a Mondale Fellow at the Humphrey Institute, and currently serves on the boards of the Library Foundation of Hennepin County and PACER Center.
